The position available is within the UnityTM Lab Services division, focused on providing exceptional onsite service delivery to clients at over 400 customer sites globally. This role serves as a critical link between lab end users, field service engineers, and various integrated service providers, ensuring seamless operations and maintenance of lab equipment. Working Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, candidates will engage in coordinating equipment schedules, maintaining accurate records using a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS), and supporting both customers and internal teams effectively. The role requires adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices and safety standards, as well as physical capability to handle equipment and comply with personal protective equipment protocols.
The candidate will contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, support cross-training efforts, and act as a subject matter expert to resolve queries from employees, clients, and sales representatives. The job demands strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and independent work ethic within both laboratory and office settings. Importantly, the role involves exposure to various environmental factors, including working at customer sites with chemical-based allergens. Physical demands include lifting weights up to 50 lbs and operating equipment like pushcarts and forklifts. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience in laboratory and GXP environments
- Use of Good Documentation Practices for all record keeping
- At least two years of experience in customer service preferred
- Proficiency with Microsoft 365 applications
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to lift 40 lbs without assistance
- Adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices and safety standards
- Ability to work independently
- Willingness to wear personal protective equipment as required
- Availability to work Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience in laboratory or GXP environments
- Proficiency with Good Documentation Practices in record keeping
- Two or more years in a customer service environment preferred
- Proficiency with Microsoft 365 applications including Excel, Outlook, and Teams
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
- Ability to work independently
Job Duties
- Work within a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to update equipment work order records
- Maintain CMMS records for incoming equipment, including vendor service records and equipment trackers
- Coordinate scheduling of equipment with internal customers and external vendors
- Generate and track monthly preventive maintenance (PM) due lists
- Collaborate with management to respond to client requests and support cross-functional issues
- Act as a subject matter expert answering questions and resolving problems for employees, customers, and sales representatives
- Support cross-training of associates and onboarding of new hires
- Identify and support implementation of continuous improvement projects
- Perform other duties as assigned
