As a Fine Dining Assistant Waiter at Seneca Niagara Casino, you will be an essential part of the dining experience, responsible for delivering professional, friendly, and courteous service to every guest. The role requires not only physical stamina but also a strong interpersonal skill set to engage guests politely and effectively. You will assist in various capacities to enhance the guests' dining experience, including the delivery of requisitioned bar supplies such as CO2 canisters, liquor, wine, beer, fruit, glasses, and ice. This comprehensive role involves interaction with guests, co-workers, and management, requiring a supportive and team-oriented approach.
Your responsibilities will extend to assisting hosts, wait staff, and bartenders to ensure smooth operations within dining areas. Tasks will range from greeting guests promptly with water and bread to proficiently managing large tray service with professionalism. You will be expected to remove dishes, clear and reset tables, and maintain dining room cleanliness, all while upholding Seneca Gaming Corporation’s policies and procedures as well as their Internal Control Standards. Additionally, you will need to be knowledgeable about the menu, wine lists, drinks, daily specials, and the layout and amenities of the property to assist guests with any inquiries effectively.
This position also involves physical activity, including walking, standing, lifting, and moving heavy carts loaded with supplies between 100 and 500 pounds. Attention to detail and a strong work ethic are vital since the role includes a variety of duties such as preparing fruits, filling ice bins, cleaning ashtrays, and maintaining the bar area, alongside completing opening and closing side work.
The ideal candidate must demonstrate an outgoing, friendly personality, ability to remain calm in a fast-paced environment, organizational skills, and a team player mentality. A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred, alongside prior experience in customer service or fine dining. Proficiency in large tray service and handling beverage station equipment is also essential.
This role demands excellent communication skills and the physical capacity to meet the job's requirements, including carrying up to fifty pounds and assisting guests with special needs. The work environment can be moderately loud and includes exposure to areas where smoking is permitted.

Job Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age or older upon employment
- High school diploma or equivalency preferred
- Previous customer service or fine dining experience preferred
- Proficient in large tray service
- Ability to operate juicer cutting boards soda guns ice machines glass washing machines frozen drink machines ice tea machines and other equipment
- Must possess excellent communication skills
- Ability to write routine correspondence and speak effectively
- Must resolve problems and conflicts diplomatically
- Must be able to stand walk and move through dining and bar areas for lengthy periods
- Must be able to carry up to fifty pounds
- Must assist guests with special needs like helping elderly and handling coats
- Must maintain physical stamina and proper mental attitude to work under pressure
- Must attend to a fast-paced environment and effectively deal with all stakeholders
- Must complete all required training programs within nine months
- Must meet attendance guidelines and company policies

Job Duties
- Report to work on time well-groomed in full uniform with badge on upper left side of uniform
- Assist hostess waiter waitress and bartender if requested to assist in the guests dining experience
- Greet guests with water and bread promptly with a proper introduction and friendly courteous disposition
- Be proficient in large tray service including proper clearing stacking of trays and professional carrying
- Remove dishes used and unused silverware after courses brush crumbs replace guest needs
- Wrap guest food if required
- Perform duties assigned by manager or shift manager
- Assist other employees in performing duties when required
- Be familiar with check and cashiering procedures
- Work in designated area and be attentive to guests exceeding expectations
- Have knowledge of casino’s history and property layout to handle guest inquiries
- Maintain knowledge of menu wine lists drinks and daily features
- Maintain awareness of dining room activities
- Properly clear and reset tables
- Obtain supplies and equipment for beverage stations and set up appropriately
- Prepare fruit fill ice bins clean ashtrays
- Wash glasses for bartender and clear bar debris
- Complete opening and closing side work daily

- Unload carts and stack orders

- Sort trash and return empty carts
- Sort beer bottles to loading dock
- Clean floors and mats behind bars
- Change Bag in Box CO2 tanks and tap kegs
