The position of Restaurant Assistant Manager at Circle K specifically focuses on the efficient day-to-day operations of the restaurant section within the store located at 1968 Meeting St, Charleston, South Carolina. This full-time role demands availability during both day and evening shifts to ensure continuous operational excellence. The Restaurant Assistant Manager works closely with the Restaurant Manager, stepping in during their absence to supervise staff and maintain standards. This role is pivotal in leading and coaching team members, ensuring every guest receives outstanding service, and that all operational procedures conform to company and health regulations.

In this role, the assistant manager is expected to foster a positive, results-driven team culture while maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment. Duties include overseeing food preparation, conducting interviews, managing cash and inventory controls, and handling administrative responsibilities such as daily paperwork, inventory counts, and truck orders. The assistant manager acts as an operational leader who not only enforces compliance with safety and quality standards but also motivates the team by exemplifying the company's values, including teamwork, integrity, ownership, and commitment to winning together.

Job Requirements

Job Duties

  • Provide excellent guest service in a fast and friendly manner
  • coach and correct team members
  • conduct second interviews for team members and shift leads
  • maintain a clean restaurant environment by performing housekeeping duties and assigning shift duties
  • ensure all food items are prepared and served according to brand, company, and health regulations
  • cascade relevant information and assist with new product training
  • place campaign materials as requested
  • ensure product quality, food safety, and operational standards are met
  • monitor and ensure accuracy of cash, sales, and inventory control records
  • complete end of shift and day paperwork and counts
  • complete daily, weekly, and end of period paperwork, inventory, cash counts, truck orders in absence of the Restaurant Manager
  • guarantee a safe environment by following all laws and safety codes
  • complete incident reports following company policies
  • partner with the Restaurant Manager to meet financial and operational metrics
  • embody company values such as One Team, Do the Right Thing, Takes Ownership, Play to Win
