Job Description

Drury Hotels is a highly respected hospitality company known for its commitment to providing exceptional guest experiences and fostering a positive work environment. With a strong presence across the United States, Drury Hotels operates a collection of strategically located hotels that emphasize excellent service, comfort, and value. The company prides itself on a culture that values each team member, recognizing their contributions and ensuring they feel a meaningful sense of belonging. Drury Hotels has been acknowledged as one of Newsweek's America's Greatest Workplaces for 2025, which speaks volumes about the company's dedication to employee satisfaction and work-life balance.

Located in Pooler, Georgia, the Drury Hotel at 500 East Highway 80 offers a dynamic and welcoming setting for both guests and staff. The hotel provides a wide range of amenities and services tailored to meet the needs of travelers whether for business or leisure. Established with the vision to set new benchmarks in hospitality, Drury Hotels continuously invests in the professional growth of its team members through comprehensive training programs, mentorship, and opportunities for career advancement. With flexible scheduling, generous benefits, and an inclusive culture, Drury Hotels strives to make every employee feel valued and supported.

The position available is a Food Preparation role within the hotel's kitchen and service areas, offering an hourly wage of $17. This role is ideal for individuals who take pride in preparing quality food products, maintaining organized and clean workspaces, and delivering friendly service to guests. Under general supervision, employees in this role are expected to use kitchen equipment and follow standardized recipes to ensure consistent food quality. The position demands a high standard of integrity and hospitality, reflecting the brand’s culture through positive interactions with guests and team members. Additionally, the Food Preparation team member will maintain an understanding of hotel services, local attractions, and events to assist guests effectively.

This job is more than just food prep; it is about engaging with guests, supporting coworkers, and contributing to a high-performing team. Candidates must be able to take both written and verbal directions, communicate clearly in English, and demonstrate professionalism when handling customer interactions, including potentially difficult situations. While the role supports the bartender, making or pouring alcoholic beverages is not part of the job responsibilities. The position also requires physical ability to move efficiently through food and bar areas and to clean and maintain areas responsibly.

At Drury Hotels, working means being part of a family that respects your efforts and rewards your successes. The company offers quarterly bonuses up to $3200 based on hotel performance, flexible work hours to promote work-life balance, paid time off, discounts on hotel rooms, and free room nights. Health benefits include medical, dental, vision, prescription coverage, life insurance, disability protection, and access to a Team Member Assistance Program. Retirement savings are supported through a company-matched 401(k) plan. Drury Hotels emphasizes internal promotion with over 200 team members advancing in their careers within the year. This role is a great starting point for anyone aiming to build a rewarding career in hospitality with a company that truly cares about your future.
