The role being offered is for a Kitchen+Bar Team Member who operates under general supervision responsible for opening and closing the hotel’s kitchen and bar area in line with company policies and procedures. This position plays a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the food preparation and bar areas while providing exceptional service and assistance to guests. The team member must exhibit a high standard of integrity and hospitality to uphold the Drury culture, making a positive impression on both customers and fellow team members at all times. This role requires the individual to efficiently mix and serve a wide array of drinks in a fast-paced environment and to perform additional duties including bartending, prep cooking, and cocktail serving as needed. The Kitchen+Bar Team Member is expected to handle monetary transactions accurately and operate necessary equipment such as cash registers, POS systems, dishwashers, and kitchen appliances. Excellent communication skills and professionalism are essential, particularly when interacting with guests and resolving difficult situations diplomatically. The position demands the ability to open and close the bar, procure all necessary supplies for cocktail preparation, and maintain the cleanliness of assigned areas. Job Requirements
- Must be 21 years old or older
- One experience bartending required
- Two or more years of bartender experience preferred
- A high school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to obtain and maintain all appropriate certifications per company requirements
- Ability to take written and verbal direction in English and communicate effectively in English
- Ability to mix and serve a wide variety of drinks in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to handle money, make change and utilize office machines in normal day-to-day activities
- Ability to operate machines and equipment used, including cash register, POS software, dishwashers, kitchen equipment
- Excellent customer service skills
- Ability to diplomatically deal with difficult situations and people while exhibiting professionalism
- Ability to open and close bar, obtain supplies necessary for mixing cocktails, and clean and maintain responsible areas
- Ability to distinguish between different denominations of currency and make appropriate change
