The Bartender role at Drury Inn & Suites is a dynamic, multifaceted position that plays an essential role in the overall guest experience by managing the hotel Kitchen+Bar area. Reporting under general supervision, the bartender is responsible for opening and closing the bar according to company policies and procedures while maintaining cleanliness, organization, and readiness of the bar and food preparation area. Job Requirements

  • Must be 21 years old or older
  • One experience bartending required
  • Two or more years of bartender experience preferred
  • A high school diploma or equivalent
  • Completion of two years of college preferred
  • Ability to obtain and maintain all appropriate certifications per company requirements
  • Ability to take written and verbal direction in English and communicate effectively in English
  • Ability to mix and serve a wide variety of drinks in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to handle money, make change and utilize office machines in normal day-to-day activities
  • Ability to operate machines and equipment used, including but not limited to, cash register, POS software, dishwashers, kitchen equipment
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively with guests and all levels of team members
  • Ability to diplomatically deal with difficult situations and people while exhibiting professionalism
  • Ability to open and close bar and obtain all supplies necessary for mixing cocktails
  • Ability to distinguish between different denominations of currency and make appropriate change

Job Qualifications

  • Must be 21 years old or older

  • A high school diploma or equivalent, completion of two years of college preferred

Job Duties

  • Open and close the hotel Kitchen+Bar following company policies and procedures
