Job Description

Drury Hotels is a well-established hospitality company known for its commitment to creating exceptional experiences for both guests and team members. With a strong reputation for offering quality accommodations and outstanding customer service, Drury Hotels continues to expand its footprint across the United States. The company's focus on team member well-being, career growth, and a positive work environment has made it a recognized name in the hospitality industry, including being ranked among Newsweek's America's Greatest Workplaces for 2025. Drury Hotels believes that their employees are key to their success and invests in providing incentives, flexible scheduling, extensive health and retirement benefits, and opportunities for internal promotions. The company's culture promotes inclusivity, respect, and continuous development, encouraging all team members to excel and find long-term careers within the organization.

Currently, Drury Hotels is actively hiring for a Bartender position at their new property located at 812 West I-65 Service Road South in Mobile, Alabama. This role offers a starting base pay of $12 an hour plus tips, providing a competitive compensation package that rewards performance through quarterly bonuses that may total up to $3,200 annually, separate from the base salary. The Bartender role is integral to the overall guest experience as it involves preparing and serving a variety of drinks, maintaining cleanliness and organization within the bar and kitchen areas, and assisting with food prep as needed. This multi-faceted position requires an individual who demonstrates integrity, hospitality, and strong communication skills, embodying the Drury culture in every interaction.

As part of the team, the Bartender not only crafts cocktails but also supports other operations including prep cooking and cocktail serving duties in a high-paced environment. The role demands a mix of technical skills with equipment such as cash registers, POS software, dishwashers, and various kitchen instruments, alongside strong customer service abilities. The ideal candidate will have prior bartending experience, preferably two years or more, and will be capable of handling financial transactions accurately, managing inventory supplies, and maintaining a clean and welcoming environment for guests. This position involves opening and closing responsibilities for the bar and requires adaptability to perform duties that keep the hotel’s food and beverage services running smoothly. Drury Hotels’ commitment to work-life balance and team member support means flexible scheduling and paid time off are valued aspects of this employment opportunity.

Joining Drury Hotels as a Bartender means becoming part of a community that celebrates growth, diversity, and excellence. Employees benefit from mentorship programs, cross-training, and development plans designed to enhance skills and open pathways to management positions. Medical, dental, vision, prescription, life, and disability insurance options are available, alongside a company-matched 401(k) retirement plan and access to an employee assistance program focused on well-being. Drury Hotels encourages immediate applications as they are looking to quickly fill this key role in their new Mobile location, offering candidates a chance to rise, shine, and work happy in a supportive and award-winning environment.
