The Kitchen and Bakery Manager at The City Market leads a team who prepares an array of foods, from daily specials to bakery delights, emphasizing quality, consistency, and customer satisfaction. This role involves a multifaceted approach to management, balancing inventory control, food purchasing, and cost management alongside staff supervision and training. The manager is entrusted with creating schedules that optimize labor while responding to the fluctuating needs of the kitchen, as well as mentoring line cooks and other kitchen personnel. Critical to success in this role is the ability to maintain and uphold all sanitation and food safety regulations ensuring the kitchen remains a safe and efficient space. The manager is also responsible for managing wholesale deliveries, maintaining stock levels, and minimizing waste to drive profitability.
