The position of Kitchen Worker offers a critical role within the concession stand operations, directly supporting food and beverage service during live events, particularly aligned with the Iowa Cubs Baseball schedule from March to September. This role operates in a fast-paced environment where efficiency, attentiveness, and teamwork are paramount. The Kitchen Worker acts as a runner, ensuring timely fulfillment of customer orders while maintaining strict adherence to sanitation and safety standards. This hourly role pays $14.00 per hour and is tip eligible under the current collective bargaining agreement, providing not only a competitive wage but also additional earnings potential through tips. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous experience in food service or hospitality is a plus
- Ability to stand for long periods and carry heavy items
- Must be able to work the Iowa Cubs Baseball event schedule (March-September)
- Excellent attendance and punctuality
- Ability to follow sanitation and safety guidelines
Job Qualifications
- Experience in basic food handling, sanitation, and customer service is preferred
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented, fast-paced, and high-volume environment
- Strong interpersonal skills with a friendly and respectful approach toward guests, coworkers, managers, and volunteers
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including days, nights, weekends and holidays
Job Duties
- Responsible for basic preparation and running orders for food and beverage products
- Responsible for keeping the work area and surroundings clean using company/State sanitation standards
- Responsible for memorizing the product menu available at concession location
- Assist in clean up and break down of the concession area at the end of the each event
