The Kitchen Worker role based at this conference center is crucial to ensuring smooth culinary operations and consistent guest satisfaction.
The Kitchen Worker position is an entry-level, general kitchen utility role centered around supporting culinary operations by performing a variety of tasks. These include preparing both hot and cold food items, assisting with buffet presentations by preparing and replenishing dishes, stocking kitchen supplies, and ensuring the cleanliness, maintenance, and sanitation of kitchen environments. Job Requirements
- Minimum of 6 months experience in food preparation in a fast paced environment
- must be able to interact verbally and listen attentively to co-workers and supervisors
- ability to follow written and oral direction
- ability to work under pressure and independently
- able to work effectively and safely while subject to wet floors, temperature extremes and excessive noise
- must be able to lift up to 50 pounds in weight
- must be able to maneuver in an often tightly-quartered environment
Job Qualifications
- Minimum of 6 months experience in food preparation in a fast paced environment
- must be able to interact verbally and listen attentively to co-workers and supervisors
- ability to follow written and oral direction
- ability to work under pressure and independently
- culinary degree from an accredited college or university (preferred)
Job Duties
- Prepare ingredients for inclusion in daily menu offerings
- perform tasks outside of food preparation to support culinary operations
- comply with all established health, sanitation and safety procedures
- contribute to goal of 100% customer satisfaction through personal commitment to customer service
