The Kitchen Utility Worker role at Sunrise Senior Living is a vital position that contributes directly to maintaining a clean, safe, and efficient kitchen and dining environment. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in kitchen or food service preferred
  • Ability to operate dish machines and clean kitchen equipment

  • Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, standing and cleaning

Job Duties

  • Set up and maintain dishwashing and pot washing areas
  • Operate dish machines and ensure proper sanitation procedures
  • Wash and sanitize dishes, cookware, utensils and glassware
  • Complete and maintain temperature, sanitation and equipment logs
  • Clean kitchen equipment including ovens, fryers, mixers and refrigerators
  • Perform janitorial duties such as sweeping, mopping, trash removal and sanitizing surfaces
  • Assist with food prep and plating as needed
  • Support proper storage, labeling and rotation of food and supplies (FIFO)
  • Maintain safe storage of cleaning chemicals and supplies
  • Assist in dining room cleaning, table resetting and light meal service when assigned
  • Follow all OSHA, food safety and Sunrise safety standards
