The role of Part-Time Kitchen Utility Associate (Dishwasher) is a vital position within Cogir Senior Living’s community dining facilities. As a part-time team member, the Kitchen Utility Associate directly supports the culinary team by ensuring that all pots, pans, utensils, and dishware are cleaned and sanitized to the highest standards. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Food Handler Card is a plus
  • Minimum 6-12 months experience in dishwasher or kitchen support role preferred
  • Experience in senior living, healthcare, or hospitality is highly desirable
  • Ability to work in fast-paced environment and multitask
  • Attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness
  • Good communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to stand for long periods and perform repetitive tasks
  • Ability to lift or move up to 50 pounds
  • Comfortable in hot, humid and wet environments
  • Availability to work flexible shifts including weekends and holidays

Job Qualifications

  • A Food Handler Card with understanding of kitchen sanitation and food codes is a plus
  • At least 6-12 months of experience in a dishwasher or kitchen support role is a plus but not required
  • Previous experience in senior living, healthcare, or hospitality settings is highly desirable

  • Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks

Job Duties

  • Wash and sanitize dishes, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment according to established protocols
  • Ensure all cleaned items are properly dried and stored in designated areas
  • Maintain cleanliness of the dishwashing area including sweeping and mopping floors
  • Promptly remove trash, recycling, and food waste to keep the kitchen organized and clutter-free
  • Clean mats and garbage pails
  • Clean and sanitize food preparation surfaces, storage areas, and kitchen equipment as needed
  • Support kitchen staff during meal preparation and service by replenishing supplies and equipment
  • Resupply chemicals, towel dispensers, and soap dispensers for sanitary operations
