Job Description

As the largest American Chinese restaurant chain in the United States, Panda Restaurant Group has grown significantly, boasting close to 2,800 locations globally. The company is committed to delivering exceptional Asian dining experiences and building a supportive organization where team members are inspired to improve their lives. Panda prides itself on embracing family values and fostering a dynamic, inclusive workplace where employees can grow and contribute positively to their communities. The organization prioritizes equal opportunity employment and cultural diversity, actively supporting accommodations for individuals with disabilities and ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local laws regarding workplace practices.

The role of a Kitchen Team Associate at Panda Restaurant Group is ideal for individuals who are friendly, team-oriented, and eager to learn. This position involves preparing delicious Asian cuisine in a fast-paced, supportive environment while maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and food safety. Whether new to the food service industry or experienced, associates receive comprehensive hands-on training to develop essential skills needed for success and career advancement. Flexible scheduling options are available, and competitive pay ranges between $21.50 and $24.50 per hour, depending on experience and location. These attributes make it an excellent entry-level role or a step forward for those passionate about building a career in the food and hospitality sector.

In this position, Kitchen Team Associates will work collaboratively with team members to ensure efficient operations across various roles including front counter service, drive-through operations, and kitchen duties. The environment fosters positivity and teamwork, emphasizing a fun and engaging workplace culture. Associates are encouraged to take pride in their contributions, from delivering outstanding guest experiences to adhering strictly to operational standards and safety procedures. The opportunity to be involved in community outreach programs like Panda Cares also allows employees to make meaningful social impacts alongside their professional roles.

The role requires physical stamina, as associates must be able to work efficiently on their feet for extended periods, handle kitchen equipment safely, and manage the physical demands of a bustling kitchen setting. The ability to communicate effectively and adapt to a fast-changing work environment is essential, along with skills to navigate and resolve workplace challenges tactfully.

Working at Panda Restaurant Group offers more than just a job; it offers career growth, leadership development opportunities, and comprehensive benefits. Full-time associates benefit from health, vision, and dental insurance, voluntary disability and income protection plans, flexible spending accounts, a 401K plan with company matching, paid time off including vacation and sick leave, as well as associate discounts and referral bonuses. The company’s commitment to employee wellbeing and development makes it a rewarding place to start or continue a career in the restaurant industry.

By joining Panda Restaurant Group as a Kitchen Team Associate, you become part of a vibrant community dedicated to excellence, teamwork, and positive impact. Whether you are starting your career or seeking a supportive environment where you can grow, this role provides a solid foundation and meaningful experience in a leading hospitality organization.
