Job Description

Panda Restaurant Group, Inc., founded in Glendale, California in 1983, is the largest family-owned American Chinese restaurant concept in the United States. With nearly 2,800 locations worldwide, Panda Restaurant Group has established itself as a leader in delivering exceptional Asian dining experiences. The company prides itself on fostering an environment that inspires team members to improve their lives while embracing family values both within the company and in the communities it serves. The organization is committed to diversity, equity, and inclusion, providing equal employment opportunities regardless of sex, gender identity, race, color, religion, national origin, disability, or any other protected characteristic. It is a dynamic and growing company dedicated to innovation and community impact through initiatives like Panda Cares, which supports local community involvement and charitable giving.

Join us as a Kitchen Team Associate, an entry-level position ideal for team players who thrive in a collaborative and fast-paced environment. This role offers the unique opportunity to learn valuable skills and advance within the restaurant industry, whether at Panda Restaurant Group or within other hospitality settings. As a Kitchen Team Associate, you will play an essential role in creating delicious food while maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and safety. Your responsibilities will include preparing both hot and cold foods, working efficiently at various stations such as the front counter, drive-thru, and kitchen, and engaging directly with guests by greeting them and serving food. Even if you have no previous experience, Panda Restaurant Group offers comprehensive hands-on paid training to help you succeed and grow.

You will work alongside friendly team members in a supportive workplace that values respect, teamwork, and mutual encouragement. The environment is fast-paced and requires adaptability, good communication skills, and the ability to maintain accuracy under pressure. Physical requirements include standing for extended periods, lifting up to 50 pounds, and working in areas that may be hot and noisy with limited space. The company emphasizes safety procedures and operational standards to ensure the quality and freshness of its food.

Panda Restaurant Group provides flexible schedules and competitive pay, along with a wide range of benefits for eligible associates. These include medical, vision, and dental insurance, voluntary short-term disability and cancer income protection insurance, and flexible spending accounts. The company also offers a 401K plan with a company match, paid vacation and sick leave, bereavement leave, and referral bonuses. Associates enjoy free meals during shifts and associate discounts on many brand products. Career advancement opportunities are plentiful, with ongoing training and pathways to management roles. The culture encourages giving back to the community, fostering a sense of pride and purpose among employees.

This role is perfect for individuals seeking a positive and rewarding work environment where they can develop both personally and professionally. As a Kitchen Team Associate at Panda Restaurant Group, you will be part of a company that not only values its customers but its employees and local communities as well. Join us to be part of a team that values dedication, enthusiasm, and the desire to grow within a vibrant and expanding restaurant organization.
