Job Requirements

  • prior experience in food service or kitchen environment preferred

Job Duties

  • Responsible for meeting the restaurant’s standards and cooking recipes to exact specifications
  • prepares and produces menu items in various kitchen stations, meeting all established kitchen standards and recipe specifications to provide high quality and well executed food for guests
  • communicates timing with other stations to ensure all items are ready at the same time for each order
  • cleans and organizes walk-in coolers, food production areas, equipment, and general kitchen areas
  • washes dishes as needed and according to established practices and procedures ensuring safety and sanitary standards are met
  • assembles and expedites accurate and complete orders for the Service Team
  • properly and safely stores food and chemicals in accordance with Meritage, HACCP, OSHA, and sanitation guidelines
  • organizes food production by assisting in hanging tickets for fellow Kitchen Team Members
  • assists in receiving and putting away deliveries
  • completes all required training for the role
  • trains new Kitchen Team Members as directed by the leadership team
  • other duties as assigned
