The company stands out as the largest family-owned Asian dining experience provider in America, with a mission to deliver exceptional and authentic Asian cuisine while fostering an inspiring work environment for their team. They embrace strong family values and are deeply committed to positively impacting both their employees and the communities they serve through their Panda Cares initiative. Panda Restaurant Group is well-known for its supportive and inclusive workplace culture, equal opportunity employment policies, and continuous career development opportunities for team members.
Joining Panda as a Kitchen Team Associate means becoming part of a friendly and dynamic team dedicated to cooking delicious food while maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and safety in a fast-paced kitchen environment. This role offers the chance to work in various positions within the restaurant, including front counter, drive-through, and kitchen stations, providing a comprehensive experience in food service operations. Whether you have previous experience or are new to the industry, Panda offers hands-on paid training, allowing you to develop valuable skills that can propel your career forward either within the company or beyond.
As a Kitchen Team Associate, you will play a vital role in ensuring exceptional dining experiences for guests by greeting and serving them with a friendly attitude and providing fresh, high-quality food. You will also be responsible for maintaining the store's cleanliness and appearance, complying with strict operational and safety procedures, and collaborating effectively with fellow team members to meet daily goals. The role requires employees to stay adaptable in a busy kitchen environment characterized by heat, fast pace, and frequent multitasking, while maintaining accuracy and efficiency in food preparation and service.
Panda values the well-being and growth of its employees by offering comprehensive benefits, including flexible schedules, competitive pay (ranging from $23 to $26 per hour based on location and experience), free meals during shifts, and robust medical, vision, dental, and voluntary insurance plans. The company also provides 401(k) with company match, vacation and sick leave policies, associate discounts, referral bonuses, and opportunities for leadership development and advancement into management roles. Panda prides itself on fostering an environment where team members are supported, recognized, and motivated to succeed while contributing positively to their community and the restaurant’s continued growth.
Working conditions may include prolonged standing, working in hot and noisy kitchen areas, lifting up to 50 pounds, and the requirement to quickly adapt to dynamic situations and manage difficult interactions with grace and professionalism. Employees must hold effective communication skills and a strong team-oriented mindset to maintain a positive work atmosphere. Panda Restaurant Group complies fully with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and is committed to providing reasonable accommodations throughout the hiring process and employment to qualified individuals with disabilities.
This is an excellent opportunity for individuals seeking a rewarding job in the food service industry with a company that values teamwork, growth, and community impact. Whether you are starting your career or seeking a stable position with room to advance, Panda’s Kitchen Team Associate role offers a supportive environment to learn, grow, and thrive while making a difference every day.
