Job Description
Panda Restaurant Group, Inc., founded in Glendale, California, in 1983, is the largest family-owned American Chinese restaurant concept in the United States. With nearly 2,800 locations worldwide, Panda Restaurant Group has built a reputation for delivering exceptional Asian dining experiences to guests. The company emphasizes family values, fostering an environment that inspires employees to better their lives while impacting the communities they serve. They are committed to diversity and inclusion, providing equal employment opportunities, and accommodating employees' needs as mandated by federal, state, and local laws. The company culture is one of support, teamwork, and career development, making it an ideal workplace for individuals seeking growth and meaningful connections.
As a Kitchen Team Associate at Panda Restaurant Group, you will be an essential part of creating a welcoming and high-quality dining experience for guests. This role involves cooking delicious food, maintaining the highest cleanliness standards, and efficiently working in a fast-paced kitchen environment. You will collaborate with a team of friendly co-workers who become friends, offering a supportive atmosphere where learning and accomplishment never stop. Candidates do not need previous experience, as Panda provides paid, hands-on training to help new associates succeed. The role offers flexible schedules, competitive pay ranging from $20 to $23 per hour depending on location and experience, and numerous benefits including medical, dental, and vision insurance for full-time associates. Additionally, associates have opportunities to grow into management and leadership positions, participate in community giving initiatives like Panda Cares, and enjoy free meals while working. The role requires the ability to work in a physically demanding environment — employees must be able to stand for extended periods, lift up to 50 pounds, and work quickly using kitchen equipment such as Chinese cook knives. This is a dynamic and rewarding position for those eager to build a career in the restaurant industry and contribute to a vibrant team environment.
