Job Description

Panda Restaurant Group, Inc., founded in Glendale, California, in 1983, is the largest family-owned American Chinese restaurant concept in the United States. With nearly 2,800 locations globally, Panda Restaurant Group has built a reputation for delivering exceptional Asian dining experiences that combine quality food with warm, welcoming service. The company embraces family values and strives to create an inspiring work environment where employees can better their lives while positively impacting their communities. The brand is well-known for its commitment to giving back through initiatives like Panda Cares, supporting local communities and fostering a sense of teamwork and family among its staff. As an Equal Opportunity Employer, Panda Restaurant Group ensures a diverse and inclusive workplace free of discrimination based on any legally protected characteristics and complies fully with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) to accommodate applicants and employees with disabilities.

The position of Kitchen Team Associate at Panda Restaurant Group offers an exciting opportunity to be part of a dynamic team dedicated to providing outstanding food and service. The role is ideal for friendly individuals who thrive in a team-oriented environment and are passionate about delivering an exceptional dining experience to guests. In this fast-paced kitchen environment, associates will be trained to maintain the highest standards of cleanliness, food quality, and safety. This role involves diverse responsibilities including greeting guests, serving food, handling payments at the cash register, and ensuring that all operations standards are upheld. While previous experience in operations or food service is a plus, Panda Restaurant Group welcomes those new to the industry and provides hands-on, paid training to equip team members for success. Beyond the kitchen, associates are encouraged to grow and develop their careers through ongoing leadership development programs, with opportunities to advance into management roles. The company offers flexible schedules, competitive pay ranging between $23 and $26 per hour depending on location and experience, and a comprehensive benefits package for eligible associates including health, dental, vision insurance, 401K with company match, paid time off, and more.

Kitchen Team Associates at Panda Restaurant Group work together in a supportive and friendly environment where teamwork is valued and daily goals are met in a positive atmosphere. The role demands employees to be physically capable of managing the rigors of kitchen work such as standing for extended periods, lifting up to 50 pounds, and working efficiently with kitchen equipment. Panda Restaurant Group fosters a culture of continuous learning, community involvement, and personal development. Individuals who seek a career in one of America’s leading Asian dining brands and wish to make a positive impact while enjoying competitive pay and benefits should consider joining Panda’s Kitchen Team.
