The company's mission is to provide exceptional Asian dining experiences, foster a supportive and inspiring workplace, and give back to the communities in which it operates. Embracing family values, Panda offers a safe, inclusive, and dynamic environment where employees can thrive personally and professionally. As an Equal Opportunity Employer, Panda is committed to diversity, equity, and compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local laws, including the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). Reasonable accommodations are available for applicants and employees as needed.
The Kitchen Team Associate role at Panda Restaurant Group is an exciting opportunity for individuals seeking to join a fast-paced, vibrant restaurant environment. This position centers on preparing high-quality food items while maintaining exceptional cleanliness and operational standards. Employees in this role interact with guests, serving food, handling payments, and ensuring the dining experience exceeds expectations. The Kitchen Team Associate works collaboratively with team members to meet daily business goals in a positive and fun atmosphere.
This role offers flexible work schedules and competitive pay, ranging from $17 to $20 per hour, adjusted for location and experience. No prior experience is necessary, as Panda provides extensive hands-on training to equip associates with the skills necessary for success. This is an excellent entry-level position for those interested in building a career in the restaurant industry, with numerous opportunities for advancement into management and leadership roles. Additionally, associates benefit from comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance options for full-time employees, as well as wellness programs, a 401K plan with company match, paid time off, and employee discounts on various brand products. Employees also gain the chance to contribute positively to the community through the company’s Panda Cares initiative.
The nature of the job requires the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment that includes standing for extended periods, working near hot steam tables, and handling kitchen equipment such as Chinese cook knives safely. Team members must be physically capable of lifting up to 50 pounds, reaching across counters, and quickly adapting to changing priorities. Effective communication skills and the ability to handle difficult situations with professionalism are essential. Panda Restaurant Group values a friendly and helpful attitude and encourages candidates with a positive work ethic and willingness to learn to apply.
Joining Panda means becoming part of a team that not only values hard work and dedication but also prioritizes employee growth and community involvement. The company fosters a culture where employees are encouraged to develop their careers and leadership capabilities while contributing to a supportive team environment. With a commitment to training, career development, and community support, Panda Restaurant Group offers a fulfilling career path for anyone passionate about hospitality and service excellence.
