Job Description

Panda Restaurant Group, Inc. is a renowned and family-owned American Chinese restaurant concept founded in Glendale, California, in 1983. Today, it stands as the largest family-owned Asian dining organization in the United States, boasting nearly 2,800 locations globally. The company is dedicated to delivering exceptional dining experiences rooted in Asian cuisine while fostering a work environment that motivates people to improve their lives. Deeply committed to family values, community involvement, and employee growth, Panda Restaurant Group emphasizes teamwork, learning, and career advancement opportunities for all its associates.

The Kitchen Team Associate role at Panda is designed for individuals who enjoy working in a fast-paced kitchen environment and have a passion for preparing delicious food while maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety. Candidates do not necessarily need prior experience, as Panda provides hands-on paid training to ensure success in the role. This position offers a chance to be part of a dynamic team that works together to serve guests with exceptional care and efficiency, whether at the front counter, drive-through, or kitchen station. This role is ideal for friendly team players who thrive in positive, supportive workplaces that feel like extended families.

In addition to preparing food, Kitchen Team Associates help create memorable guest experiences through friendly greetings, efficient service, and cash register handling when needed. They adhere strictly to operational and safety standards to ensure that guests receive high-quality and safe meals. Being part of Panda means more than just a job; it’s an opportunity to grow personally and professionally, benefiting from ongoing career development and leadership training that can lead to management positions or other advanced roles within the organization. The role offers flexible schedules and competitive hourly pay ranging between $17 and $20, depending on location and experience.

Panda Restaurant Group also deeply believes in giving back to its communities through its Panda Cares initiative, giving employees the chance to make positive local impacts. The role requires physical stamina due to the demanding nature of kitchen work, including lifting, standing for long periods, and working in hot and noisy conditions. It emphasizes effective communication skills, adaptability to dynamic environments, and the ability to manage conflicts tactfully. Panda is an Equal Opportunity Employer committed to diversity, inclusion, and providing reasonable accommodations under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). Overall, the Kitchen Team Associate role offers a supportive atmosphere with meaningful work, skill development, community involvement, and clear pathways for career advancement within a respected and loved restaurant group.
