Job Description
Panda Restaurant Group, Inc., founded in Glendale, California, is the largest family-owned American Chinese restaurant concept in the United States. With nearly 2,800 locations worldwide, this esteemed company has built a reputation around delivering exceptional Asian dining experiences that emphasize quality, service, and a welcoming atmosphere. Known for embodying family values and fostering a supportive environment, Panda continues to grow its legacy by inspiring team members and positively impacting the communities where its restaurants operate. The company prides itself on a culture of inclusion, equal opportunity, and continuous personal and professional development for all employees.
Currently, Panda Restaurant Group, Inc. is seeking dedicated and friendly individuals to join their team as Kitchen Team Associates. This role is a fundamental part of the restaurant’s operations, focusing on preparing delicious food while upholding the highest standards of cleanliness and safety. Team members in this position work in a fast-paced environment, stepping into various roles such as front counter service, drive-through operations, or kitchen tasks. The company values teamwork and a positive, fun workplace culture, where employees support each other and are given ongoing opportunities to learn and grow. Whether new to the food service industry or experienced, Panda provides training and development to build skills that help employees advance their careers locally or wherever their futures may take them.
This full-time or part-time position offers a competitive hourly wage ranging from $22 to $25, dependent on location and experience. Among the many benefits of this role are flexible schedules, paid training, opportunities for advancement into management, and a chance to engage with the community through Panda’s charitable initiative, Panda Cares. The position is physically demanding, requiring the ability to lift up to 50 pounds, stand for extended periods, and work efficiently within a high-volume kitchen setting. Candidates should be prepared to operate kitchen equipment safely and maintain meticulous cleanliness to ensure food quality and guest satisfaction. Beyond customer service and food preparation duties, team associates will also be accountable for adhering to health and safety regulations while creating a positive dining experience for guests. Panda Restaurant Group’s commitment to diversity, equal employment opportunity, and ADA compliance underscores their inclusive approach to hiring and workplace accommodation. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic work environment, enjoys working with others, and is eager to grow their career in the restaurant industry.
