Job Description
Panda Restaurant Group, Inc., founded in Glendale, California in 1983, is the largest family-owned American Chinese Restaurant concept in the United States. With nearly 2,800 locations worldwide, Panda Restaurant Group continues to thrive by offering exceptional Asian dining experiences founded on strong family values and community impact. The company prioritizes creating a safe, supportive, and dynamic work environment where employees are valued as team members and friends. They emphasize personal and professional growth, providing ample opportunities for career advancement and leadership development, regardless of prior experience. The organization is deeply committed to giving back through initiatives like Panda Cares, which empowers associates to contribute meaningfully to their communities. Employment with Panda Restaurant Group means becoming part of a family-oriented culture dedicated to excellence, respect, diversity, and inclusion. The company is an Equal Opportunity Employer and complies with all federal, state, and local laws regarding workplace accommodation and anti-discrimination policies. They value diversity and ensure a fair hiring process accessible to all candidates, including those requiring reasonable accommodations under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). The company maintains high standards for operational safety, cleanliness, and food quality, cultivating an environment where team members can learn, grow, and flourish while delivering fresh and delicious meals to guests.
This role is for a Kitchen Team Associate, a friendly and energetic team player who works collaboratively to cook delicious food and maintain the highest standards of cleanliness within the kitchen and dining areas. The position is ideal for individuals seeking a fast-paced environment where they can continuously learn new skills, work across various kitchen stations including the front counter, drive-through, and kitchen, and engage positively with customers and team members. Panda Restaurant Group offers a hands-on paid training program to prepare associates for success, open to candidates with and without previous experience. Part-time and full-time employment options are available, with flexible scheduling to support work-life balance. Responsibilities include greeting guests, serving food, handling transactions, maintaining store cleanliness, following all operational and safety procedures, and contributing effectively to team goals. The role requires standing for extended periods, working in a hot and sometimes noisy environment, and lifting items up to 50 lbs., making physical stamina and adaptability important qualities for success. Candidates may need to obtain a Food Handler certification depending on local regulations. In return, associates benefit from competitive pay, paid meals, comprehensive medical and dental insurance options (for full-time employees), 401K with company match, paid time off, associate discounts, referral bonuses, and opportunities for career development and advancement.
