Today, it proudly stands as the largest family-owned American Chinese restaurant concept in the United States, operating nearly 2,800 locations worldwide. Known for its commitment to delivering exceptional Asian dining experiences, Panda Restaurant Group fosters a dynamic workplace that inspires individuals to enhance their lives and grow professionally. The company blends family values with business excellence, nurturing a culture of respect, inclusion, and community involvement through initiatives such as Panda Cares, which supports local communities and charitable causes.
The role of Kitchen Team Associate at Panda is designed for friendly and dedicated team players passionate about cooking delicious food and maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and safety. This role is tailored for individuals who flourish in a fast-paced, supportive environment where teamwork, efficiency, and positivity are essential. Panda provides a safe atmosphere where team members often become lifelong friends, creating an enjoyable workplace where there is always something new to learn and accomplish.
As a Kitchen Team Associate, you will be instrumental in providing exceptional dining experiences, preparing fresh, high-quality Asian cuisine while adhering strictly to operational standards and safety procedures. The position involves multifaceted responsibilities including greeting guests warmly, serving food, handling payments at the cash register, and maintaining the cleanliness and overall appearance of the store. Associates may rotate between various essential roles such as working at the front counter, drive-through, or kitchen stations, ensuring a comprehensive understanding of restaurant operations.
Panda values growth and development, offering hands-on paid training to prepare associates for success and ongoing opportunities for career and leadership development. The company is committed to promoting from within, providing pathways for motivated individuals to advance into management roles. Our flexible schedules accommodate diverse lifestyles while competitive pay, including wages ranging between $22 and $25 per hour depending on location and experience, ensures our associates are rewarded fairly.
Panda’s inclusive environment complies fully with equal opportunity laws, not discriminating based on sex, gender identity, race, age, disability, or other protected statuses, and is committed to providing reasonable workplace accommodations under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). This ensures that all employees can thrive regardless of personal challenges. The physical demands of the role are clearly outlined, with expectations for standing for extended periods, lifting up to 50 pounds, working in hot, noisy kitchen conditions, and handling specialized kitchen tools safely and efficiently.
Choosing Panda Restaurant Group means joining a brand with a legacy of quality and care, focused not only on exceptional dining but also on meaningful community impact and employee well-being. Our associates receive extensive benefits including medical, vision, and dental insurance, paid leave, 401K with company match, free meals during shifts, and associate discounts, creating an overall rewarding and supportive employment experience. If you are eager to grow your skills, be part of a team-driven environment, and contribute to a respected brand with a heart, Panda Restaurant Group welcomes you to apply and grow with us.
