Job Description

Sierra Nevada Brewing Co. is a pioneering craft brewery established in 1980 by Ken Grossman. Beginning humbly with a hand-built brewhouse and a bold vision, the company has played a pivotal role in shaping the American craft brewing landscape. Today, Sierra Nevada stands as a leader in craft beer innovation, environmental stewardship, and fostering a culture of inclusivity. The company values diversity in all its forms and continues to push boundaries across its brewing processes, sustainability efforts, and outdoor initiatives. As a well-respected entity in the food and beverage industry, Sierra Nevada Brewing Co. provides a dynamic work environment centered on quality, innovation, and care for its people and the planet.

The Kitchen Support role at Sierra Nevada Brewing Co. is vital for maintaining operational efficiency in the kitchen and supporting the culinary team to deliver an exceptional guest experience. Reporting directly to the Supervisor or Sous Chef, this position involves a variety of responsibilities aimed at keeping the kitchen running smoothly and maintaining high standards of cleanliness and organization. Key duties include operating industrial-grade dishwashing equipment to ensure that all kitchen utensils and equipment are sanitized and ready for use. The Kitchen Support team member also assists with inventory management through receiving, rotating, and organizing products to maintain freshness and quality. Additionally, this role encompasses light food preparation tasks, including cutting, mixing, peeling, and assembly, which contribute to overall kitchen productivity.

Beyond these core responsibilities, the Kitchen Support role requires maintaining a clean and inviting environment both in guest-facing areas and behind the scenes. This includes cleaning floors, walls, restrooms, and windows, ensuring that every part of the kitchen and dining space meets the company’s high standards for hygiene and safety. Employees in this role uphold all local, state, and federal health codes and FDA guidelines to create a safe, compliant, and welcoming environment. Sierra Nevada Brewing Co. offers this position with a starting hourly wage of $17, with compensation tailored according to skills, experience, and geographical location. The company further invests in its employees with benefits such as a 10% company match on 401(k) contributions, comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance, onsite medical facilities, and strong mental health support services. With ongoing training and a commitment to work-life balance, the Kitchen Support role is ideal for individuals seeking stability, growth opportunities, and the chance to be part of a motivated team dedicated to quality and sustainability.
