The role of Kitchen Supervisor at Rosen Hotels & Resorts is critical in ensuring smooth and efficient kitchen operations within the company's food and beverage services. This position entails supervising kitchen staff, including cooks and prep chefs, to maintain a cohesive team environment aligned with the company's standards for service and food quality. The Kitchen Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily kitchen activities, making sure all staff adhere to grooming and attire policies, and completing essential opening and closing duties to maintain operational readiness and cleanliness.
In addition to managing kitchen operations, the Kitchen Supervisor plays a pivotal role in human resources functions specific to the kitchen team. This includes assisting in hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, motivating, counseling, disciplining, and coaching employees. They ensure compliance with all company safety policies and food safety regulations, fostering a safe and hygienic kitchen environment. The position demands a leader who can uphold a positive and guest-focused attitude, handle potential safety concerns, and contribute to the broader goals of the hotel group.
This is a full-time position designed for individuals with at least two years of food and beverage experience and prior leadership experience. The Kitchen Supervisor must be capable of lifting up to 25 pounds consistently and handling up to 50 pounds occasionally, signifying the physically demanding nature of the job. The role also requires a legal working status in the United States. Preference will be given to candidates with an Associate's degree in Restaurant Management or a related field, alongside mandatory Food Handlers Certification.

Job Duties
- Supervise the kitchen staff, including cooks and prep chefs, to ensure efficient and smooth operations
- Inspect grooming and attire of staff, addressing any deficiencies or concerns
- Complete opening and closing duties, including setting up necessary supplies and tools, cleaning all equipment and areas, and locking doors
- Assist the management in hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, counseling, disciplining, motivating, and coaching employees
- Follow all company and safety policies and procedures, including food safety regulations
- Report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to the manager
- Follow Company Standards for guest service and maintain a positive and friendly attitude with guests and team members
- Adhere to the drug-free and tobacco/nicotine-free policies of the company
- All other duties as assigned
