We are currently seeking an energetic, experienced, and hands-on Kitchen Supervisor to join our team at Renaissance Reno Downtown Hotel & Spa. This role is essential in ensuring the smooth operation of our food and beverage department. The Kitchen Supervisor will play a critical part in maintaining high standards of service and food quality, mentoring department staff, and upholding SHG’s mission to make a positive impact in every aspect of our business. Job Requirements
- Minimum of high school education
- Minimum of two years in restaurant/bar experience leading shifts without supervision
- Ability to communicate effectively verbally
- Team player
- Ability to exceed expectations of guests and team members
- Ability to multi-task
- Ability to work flexible hours and shifts
- Knowledge of local alcohol serving practices and standards
- Knowledge of federal and state labor laws as well as local health and sanitation laws and regulations
Job Qualifications
- Minimum of high school education
- Minimum of two years in restaurant/bar experience leading shifts without supervision
- Alcohol awareness certification preferred
- Ability to communicate effectively verbally

Job Duties
- Supervises, trains, monitors and coaches department staff
- Directs and assigns employees as needed to ensure all aspects of service meet operational standards
- Oversee food and beverage operations in absence of the F&B Manager
- Performs department opening and/or closing duties
- Reinforces a customer service mentality and ensures all employees are focused on serving the customer at all times
- Immediately and respectfully resolves guest requests
- Perform various other duties as assigned
