Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • prior experience in culinary or food service roles
  • supervisory experience preferred
  • ability to operate kitchen equipment
  • excellent communication skills
  • team-oriented mindset
  • valid food handling certificate if required
  • strong attendance record

Job Qualifications

  • Professional training via culinary education or experience in fast-paced restaurant or catering facility
  • prior supervisory or lead kitchen experience preferred
  • ability to supervise kitchen staff
  • skilled in operating standard kitchen equipment including broiler, steamer, convection oven, mixer, meat slicer, and chef's knife
  • effective communication skills with employees, management, and guests
  • ability to work well in a team-oriented, fast-paced, event-driven environment
  • valid food handling certificate if required by regulations
  • demonstrated excellent attendance record

Job Duties

  • Coordinate and supervise the work of kitchen staff
  • display culinary preparation knowledge and teach proper food preparation and presentation
  • assist in controlling food and labor costs
  • conduct kitchen cleanliness and maintenance inspections
  • assist with monthly inventory
  • provide high quality, fresh food products timely for guest delivery
  • prepare hot and cold foods following company recipes and portioning requirements
  • participate as a team player in food preparation, service, and delivery
  • report maintenance needs for kitchen equipment
  • maintain sanitation, health and safety standards
  • observe and test foods for proper cooking
  • portion, arrange, and garnish food plates
  • consult with Executive Chef to plan menus and estimate food consumption
