The role of Kitchen Supervisor is integral to ensuring guests receive quality food and beverage prepared according to the company’s standard recipes. The Kitchen Supervisor will take charge of preparing and cooking various menu items including meats, soups, and sauces, while also overseeing the entire food and beverage operation. Supervisory duties include directing kitchen staff, ensuring food preparation meets quality standards, and maintaining the cleanliness and safety of all kitchen areas. This leadership role includes responsibility for training new kitchen employees and mentoring them to uphold culinary standards and operational procedures.
In addition to food preparation and staff management, the Kitchen Supervisor will be instrumental in managing food and labor costs, conducting inspections to ensure compliance with health and sanitation standards, assisting with inventory management, and coordinating with the Executive Chef to plan menus. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- prior experience in culinary or food service roles

Job Qualifications
- Professional training via culinary education or experience in fast-paced restaurant or catering facility
- prior supervisory or lead kitchen experience preferred
- ability to supervise kitchen staff
- skilled in operating standard kitchen equipment including broiler, steamer, convection oven, mixer, meat slicer, and chef's knife
- effective communication skills with employees, management, and guests
- ability to work well in a team-oriented, fast-paced, event-driven environment
- valid food handling certificate if required by regulations
- demonstrated excellent attendance record
Job Duties
- Coordinate and supervise the work of kitchen staff
- display culinary preparation knowledge and teach proper food preparation and presentation
- assist in controlling food and labor costs
- conduct kitchen cleanliness and maintenance inspections
- assist with monthly inventory
- provide high quality, fresh food products timely for guest delivery
- prepare hot and cold foods following company recipes and portioning requirements
- participate as a team player in food preparation, service, and delivery
- report maintenance needs for kitchen equipment
- maintain sanitation, health and safety standards
- observe and test foods for proper cooking
- portion, arrange, and garnish food plates
- consult with Executive Chef to plan menus and estimate food consumption
