Job Description

Delaware North Parks and Resorts is a well-established hospitality company that operates a variety of services within iconic locations across the United States. One of their premier properties includes The Squire at the Grand Canyon, a Holiday Inn Resort located just minutes from the South Rim of the Grand Canyon in Tusayan, Arizona. Known for delivering memorable guest experiences, this resort offers modern amenities and multiple dining options, creating a welcoming and vibrant atmosphere for travelers from around the world. Delaware North, a global family-owned company with over 100 years of history, emphasizes employee growth and development, providing numerous opportunities for career advancement across their extensive operations, which range from sports arenas to national parks and casinos.

The role of Kitchen Supervisor at Holiday Inn Squire Resort is a seasonal position with a competitive hourly wage between $20.00 and $22.00. This opportunity suits individuals who possess experience as a Cook and who thrive in fast-paced kitchen environments. The Kitchen Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing food preparation, ensuring quality control, and maintaining sanitary standards while directly supervising kitchen associates. This leadership role requires attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and an ability to manage multiple tasks effectively under pressure.

Beyond just managing daily kitchen operations, the Kitchen Supervisor plays a vital role in menu creation, cost control, and equipment maintenance, ensuring the kitchen functions smoothly and efficiently. They will enforce departmental policies, verify portion sizes, and guarantee that all safety and sanitation procedures are adhered to at all times. The position demands physical stamina to handle tasks such as lifting heavy pans and standing for extended periods. As a leader, the Kitchen Supervisor will mentor and guide their associates, fostering a collaborative environment focused on delivering high-quality food and service.

The resort life at Tusayan offers a unique blend of small-town charm and proximity to one of the world’s most iconic natural wonders, the Grand Canyon National Park. Employees can take advantage of low-cost housing options that include utilities and Wi-Fi, along with access to resort amenities like a pool, workout facilities, and even a bowling alley. Various leisure activities such as hiking, river tours, stargazing, and wildlife park visits enrich the lifestyle for team members living in this exceptional location. Delaware North further enhances the employee experience with benefits such as health insurance, tuition reimbursement, paid vacation and holidays, and regular team appreciation events, making it an attractive employer for culinary professionals looking to grow in their careers.
