Job Description
Delaware North Parks and Resorts is currently seeking a seasonal Kitchen Supervisor to join the dynamic team at the Holiday Inn Squire Resort located in Tusayan, Arizona. This resort is renowned for its proximity to the South Rim of the Grand Canyon, offering guests a unique combination of natural beauty and modern comfort. As part of a global hospitality and food service company with over 100 years of history, Delaware North brings decades of industry experience to all of its operations worldwide. The company is committed to creating memorable guest experiences and fostering an inclusive, growth-oriented work environment. The Holiday Inn Squire Resort serves as a premier destination for travelers, providing a welcoming atmosphere enhanced by multiple dining options and first-rate amenities.
In the role of Kitchen Supervisor, the successful candidate will play a crucial leadership role within the restaurant’s kitchen. This position demands an experienced cook who thrives in fast-paced environments and who is passionate about delivering high-quality food and service to guests. Offering a competitive hourly wage ranging from $20.00 to $22.00, this seasonal position provides an excellent opportunity for culinary professionals looking to advance their careers while enjoying the exceptional lifestyle that comes from living near one of the world’s most famous natural landmarks. Working at the Grand Canyon allows team members to enjoy a small-town community feeling along with unique recreational and cultural opportunities including hiking trails, river tours, and access to the national park itself.
The Kitchen Supervisor’s responsibilities are varied and vital. They include overseeing food preparation, ensuring that meal portions, recipes, and food quality meet rigorous standards, and maintaining sanitary conditions throughout the kitchen. The supervisor will also be responsible for managing kitchen associates, delegating cleaning tasks, and confirming that all kitchen equipment is functioning correctly. Efficiency and attention to detail are critical as the supervisor will also handle inventory processes such as proper food storage, rotation, and labeling. Crucially, the Kitchen Supervisor will work closely with culinary leadership to maintain food costs within specified budgetary parameters.
Beyond the role-specific duties, Delaware North prioritizes employee well-being through a comprehensive benefits package. For eligible full-time, year-round employees, benefits include health, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) plan with company match, paid vacation and holidays, tuition assistance, and weekly pay. Additionally, the resort supports work-life balance by providing access to housing options with amenities like Wi-Fi and satellite TV, a free laundry facility, on-site recreational facilities, and free access to Grand Canyon National Park. Monthly team events and referral bonuses are also part of the company culture, emphasizing camaraderie and professional growth.
Delaware North fosters an inclusive workplace culture and is an equal opportunity employer. They welcome applicants of all backgrounds and are dedicated to diversity, equity, and inclusion. This opportunity at the Holiday Inn Squire Resort provides not only a rewarding job but also a chance to be part of an enduring legacy and a vibrant hospitality community. If you are a motivated culinary professional looking for a leadership role in an exciting location, Delaware North Parks and Resorts is the place to build your career and enjoy life at one of the world's most iconic destinations.
