Russian River Brewing Company is a renowned craft brewery and restaurant located in Santa Rosa, California. Established with a passion for brewing quality beers and providing exceptional dining experiences, the company has built a strong reputation for its innovative craft beers and commitment to community engagement. The Santa Rosa Restaurant offers guests not only a diverse menu of culinary delights but also a welcoming atmosphere that reflects the company's dedication to hospitality and excellence. As a leader in the craft brewing industry, Russian River Brewing Company prides itself on fostering a collaborative and dynamic work environment where employees can thrive and grow their careers in both culinary and beverage service sectors.
The role of Kitchen Supervisor at Russian River Brewing Company's Santa Rosa Restaurant is a unique leadership position designed for professionals with hands-on kitchen experience and the ability to manage and motivate a team in a fast-paced, high-volume setting. This position primarily involves working evening shifts, with the flexibility to cover other shifts as needed, including when the Kitchen Manager or Chef is unavailable. The Kitchen Supervisor will be actively involved in food preparation while taking on supervisory duties that go beyond typical cook responsibilities.
Responsibilities include overseeing all kitchen operations during the shift, working various food stations, coordinating and supporting kitchen staff, managing shift transitions smoothly, scheduling breaks, and ensuring that all company policies and procedures related to food safety, hygiene, and operational standards are strictly followed. Additionally, the Kitchen Supervisor is responsible for managing inventory and placing orders in the absence of the Kitchen Manager, highlighting the trust and responsibility afforded to this role. Effective communication and teamwork are essential, as the Kitchen Supervisor leads the kitchen shift meeting and serves as a liaison between kitchen staff and management. The position demands strong culinary basics, excellent organizational skills, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and food quality.
This position is ideal for a culinary professional who values leadership opportunities and is ready to contribute meaningfully to a team-oriented environment. As part of Russian River Brewing Company, employees benefit from working with an established brand known for quality and innovation in the craft beer and restaurant industry. The company fosters a culture of continuous learning and support, encouraging staff to grow their skills and advance within the organization. Candidates interested in the Kitchen Supervisor role should possess at least one year of supervisory experience, with several years in high-volume kitchen environments, and preferably some prior pizza-making experience. The ability to communicate effectively in English and potentially a second language is considered a strong advantage.
