The supervisor must develop and manage budgets for food and kitchen supplies and ensure adherence to these financial plans. Additionally, the role includes supervising staff to ensure compliance with personal hygiene practices and proper food handling to meet health and safety requirements.

Applicants are expected to meet physical requirements including the ability to cook, taste, and smell food, perform mathematical calculations related to serving sizes and recipe measurements, and maintain regular attendance. The role mandates necessary certifications such as a Florida Food Handlers Certificate and a valid state driver’s license. Background checks including FBI fingerprinting and local law enforcement clearance are required to ensure safety and compliance.

The Salvation Army provides comprehensive benefits including health, dental, and vision insurance, paid time off, retirement plans, and life insurance among others, supporting employees' well-being and work-life balance.
