The position of Kitchen Supervisor at Levy, based at Ohio State University, offers an exciting opportunity for motivated individuals passionate about food service. This role is primarily supervisory, involving direct oversight of food-service associates to ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and relevant laws. As a Kitchen Supervisor, you will be instrumental in training new employees, assigning work tasks, and monitoring performance. You will play an essential role in maintaining high standards of food quality, safety, and customer satisfaction by managing food preparation processes, storage, and kitchen equipment operation in line with HACCP guidelines. The position offers competitive pay ranging from $18.00 to $22.00 per hour. Job Duties

  • use approved food recipes and production standards to ensure proper quality, serving temperatures and standard portion control
  • operate and clean equipment according to department procedures after each use
  • store, label and date food items according to policy
  • maintain established food rotations in storage to minimize spoilage and waste
  • follow HACCP guidelines to ensure quality and safety of food supply
  • operate food-service equipment safely and according to established policies and procedures
  • help serve meals
  • remain present during scheduled meal periods to receive customer comments and feedback
  • perform other duties as assigned
