Zia's is a well-established full-service restaurant located at 20 Main St., Toledo, OH. Since opening in June 2000, Zia's has quickly become a local favorite for its generous pasta dishes, home-style Italian meats, chicken, fish, and large pizzas. Positioned strategically at The Docks along the Maumee River, Zia's not only serves walk-in guests but also delivers great Italian cuisine to boats making quick stops. This unique location adds a maritime charm and convenience to the dining experience, enhancing both delivery and on-site dining possibilities. Zia's is currently looking for an outgoing, experienced Kitchen Supervisor to join their dedicated team. The role demands someone with great people skills, an eye for detail, and a commitment to quality. Candidates should ideally have experience working in all kitchen stations and thrive in a high-volume environment. The Kitchen Supervisor plays a critical leadership role by overseeing kitchen operations, ensuring food preparation, cooking, and garnishing meet Zia’s high standards. Successful candidates will bring between 2 to 5 plus years of culinary experience and previous experience as a Kitchen Supervisor or Lead Line Cook is preferred. This position offers significant growth opportunities within a dynamic full-service casual dining restaurant company.

Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • 2-5 plus years of culinary or cooking experience
  • prior kitchen supervision experience preferred
  • ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends
  • strong interpersonal skills
  • reliable and punctual
  • capacity to handle high volume and pressure

Job Qualifications

  • 2-5 plus years of cook or culinary experience
  • experience working in all kitchen stations
  • previous kitchen supervisor or lead line cook experience preferred
  • strong leadership and communication skills
  • knowledge of food safety and sanitation guidelines
  • ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • attention to detail

Job Duties

  • lead kitchen team and supervise daily kitchen operations
  • prepare, cook, and garnish food to meet quality standards
  • ensure cleanliness and organization of kitchen workstations
  • handle high-volume cooking efficiently
  • train and mentor kitchen staff
  • maintain food safety and sanitation standards
  • assist in inventory management and ordering supplies
