Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • at least two years of relevant culinary experience
  • physical ability to stand, bend, kneel, lift, and carry up to 50 pounds
  • strong leadership qualities and communication skills
  • willingness to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment
  • ability to implement and enforce safety and sanitation standards

Job Qualifications

  • Culinary arts or culinary certificate preferred
  • two or more years of experience in large, complex food service operations
  • demonstrated knowledge of food and beverage programs, hospitality, and brand management
  • strong leadership and interpersonal communication skills
  • proficiency in training and motivating kitchen staff
  • excellent written and verbal communication
  • ability to empower team members and encourage collaboration

Job Duties

  • Oversee all kitchen-related tasks including opening and closing procedures
  • monitor equipment operability and ensure proper use of kitchen tools
  • conduct regular food safety and sanitation walkthroughs
  • supervise and coordinate activities of kitchen team members
  • assist Kitchen Management with inventory management and kitchen organization
  • ensure quality control in food preparation and presentation
  • train kitchen staff on safety techniques and operational procedures
  • maintain cleanliness, repairs and maintenance, and organization in the kitchen
  • report equipment repairs and workplace incidents to management
  • perform additional duties as assigned
