Job Requirements

  • Technical, trade, or vocational school diploma
  • Four to six years of related work experience
  • At least two years of supervisory experience
  • Ability to comply with safety and company policies
  • Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting 25 pounds
  • Strong communication skills
  • Availability to work full-time
  • Non-management position

Job Duties

  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of cooks and kitchen staff
  • Determine food presentation and create decorative food displays
  • Ensure portion sizes, arrangement, and decoration of served foods are appropriate
  • Control the quantity of food prepared
  • Inform food and beverage service staff about rejected products and special menu items
  • Assist cooks and kitchen staff with various tasks
  • Monitor kitchen inventory and food stock
  • Maintain kitchen records to comply with food safety programs and food product standards
  • Ensure food quality and notify the manager of any non-compliant products
  • Assist management in hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, advising, disciplining, motivating, and mentoring employees
  • Comply with all safety and company policies and procedures
  • Report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions
  • Conduct safety trainings and obtain certifications
  • Maintain professional personal appearance and confidentiality
  • Attend to guest service needs
  • Communicate clearly and professionally
  • Foster positive working relationships and support team goals
  • Meet quality expectations and standards
  • Perform physical tasks including standing, walking, bending, stretching, and lifting objects up to 25 pounds
  • Execute other reasonable job duties as requested by supervisors
