The Kitchen Supervisor role at Lure Fish House is a critical position that combines leadership, culinary skills, and operational excellence. The Kitchen Supervisor supports the Kitchen Manager by managing back-of-house (BOH) employees, ensuring smooth kitchen operations, and maintaining high standards of food quality and safety. Responsibilities include creating employee schedules, managing labor and food costs, receiving inventory, and ensuring the kitchen remains organized and clean. The position demands hands-on involvement in preparing and cooking food, using various kitchen tools and equipment, from mixers and choppers to deep fryers and flame-based cooking apparatus. A successful candidate will be able to work efficiently under pressure, maintain a positive attitude, and solve problems effectively to meet deadlines and operational targets. Job Duties
- Manage our BOH employees
- work closely with the Kitchen Manager
- creating schedules
- manage labor, food costs and receive inventory
- organize and clean kitchen
- wash, prepare, and cut fresh produce
- execute recipes using various machines and utensils from mixers to choppers and food processors to knives, spatulas and whisks
- cook food over hot flame equipment in a timely and excellent manner
- maintain work area in clean and safe way
- use of deep fryer
