Job Description

HHM Hotels is a renowned hospitality company dedicated to delivering exceptional guest experiences through its portfolio of hotels and resorts. Known for its commitment to quality, sustainability, and guest satisfaction, HHM Hotels operates with a strong focus on maintaining high standards of service and operational excellence. The company fosters a culture where people are valued as the greatest asset, and it embraces principles such as hearts that serve, only excellence, staying nimble, and owning responsibilities. As an equal opportunity employer, HHM Hotels values diversity and inclusion and ensures a respectful and supportive work environment for all employees regardless of race, gender, or other protected characteristics.

The opportunity to join HHM Hotels as a Kitchen Supervisor offers a dynamic role overseeing the set-up and food production areas within the kitchen. This position is pivotal in maximizing productivity while ensuring food quality, set-up, and service comply with established guest service and sustainability standards. The Kitchen Supervisor works closely with kitchen associates, the Executive Chef, and Sous Chef to ensure seamless daily kitchen operations. Key responsibilities include interviewing, selecting, training, scheduling, coaching, and supporting kitchen staff while maintaining brand and hotel standards. The role also involves inspecting daily use records, managing food inventory by pulling necessary items from the walk-in box, and utilizing leftovers efficiently to reduce waste.

In addition to maintaining excellent food production standards, the Kitchen Supervisor is responsible for upholding stringent housekeeping practices in the kitchen, enforcing a clean-as-you-go policy, and preparing daily production charts. This role requires active participation in associate meetings to provide feedback and solutions to any staff concerns. Adhering to HHM's EarthView program, the Kitchen Supervisor also follows sustainability guidelines that reinforce the company's commitment to environmentally responsible practices.

Safety in the work environment is paramount, and the Kitchen Supervisor ensures safe work habits, proper use of protective equipment, and compliance with Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) and Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) standards. This role demands physical endurance since it involves standing for extended periods, walking, pushing, lifting up to 50 pounds, bending, reaching, stooping, kneeling, or crouching regularly.

This position is ideal for individuals with prior supervisory experience or a background in culinary environments who are passionate about leading teams, maintaining high kitchen standards, and contributing positively to a company's sustainability and operational goals. The Kitchen Supervisor role also lays a solid career path for advancement into positions such as Kitchen Manager, Sous Chef, and eventually Head Chef, making it a valuable step for those aspiring to progress in the hospitality and culinary management fields.

HHM Hotels prioritizes employee development and satisfaction alongside guest experience, making this an excellent opportunity for motivated professionals to grow their careers in a supportive and well-established hospitality organization. The company's commitment to equal employment opportunities ensures that all qualified candidates will be considered without discrimination, reflecting its inclusive culture. Joining HHM Hotels as a Kitchen Supervisor means being part of a team that believes people are the capability behind its success and emphasizes excellence and ownership in every role.
