The role being offered is a Culinary Leader position within their restaurant division. This role is essential in delivering excellent food quality, consistency, reasonable pricing, and professional service in an attractive environment for their guests. The position involves leading culinary functions to achieve food quality goals, financial targets, facilities maintenance, and personnel development objectives. The Culinary Leader oversees kitchen operations, including supervising food preparation and plating, training staff, scheduling, inventory management, and maintaining health and safety standards. This leadership role requires a hands-on approach, where flexibility and the ability to juggle multiple responsibilities are necessary to support the overall success of the kitchen and restaurant.

Successful candidates will bring at least one year of experience in a relevant culinary or supportive role, expertise in food quality, presentation, and menu design, along with strong time management and organizational skills. Excellent communication abilities, motivation, and flexibility to work varied schedules including mornings, nights, holidays, and weekends are expected. Food Handler Certification is also required where applicable. Job Requirements

  • 1 year of experience in a related or supportive role preferred
  • Expertise in food product, presentation, quality, and preparation
  • Time management and organizational ability required for high quality food production
  • Ability to work with minimal direction or supervision to complete assigned tasks
  • Excellent written communication and presentation skills
  • Highly motivated and flexible, with the ability to take initiative
  • Flexible schedule, able to work mornings, nights, holidays, and weekends when needed
  • Food Handler Certification if applicable

Job Duties

  • Lead kitchen staff and coordinate food orders
  • Supervise food preparation and cooking by checking food plating, temperature, and portion sizes
  • Train kitchen staff on prep work and food plating techniques
  • Store food products in compliance with safety practices
  • Maintain sanitation and safety standards in the kitchen area
  • Assist with scheduling all kitchen staff
  • Promote all kitchen health and safety rules
  • Price menu items in collaboration with the Restaurant Manager
  • Order food supplies and kitchen equipment
  • Keep weekly and monthly cost reports
  • Encourage and support team members in their growth and development
  • Take on responsibilities outside of the job description as needed
