Job Description

Chipotle Mexican Grill, Inc. is a renowned fast-casual restaurant chain dedicated to redefining the fast-food experience through its commitment to high-quality, responsibly sourced ingredients and sustainable farming practices. Founded on the principle of Food With Integrity, Chipotle has become a leader in the industry by focusing on transparency, quality, and customer satisfaction. With locations across multiple countries, the company continues to expand its mission to make better food accessible to everyone while maintaining a strong emphasis on environmental stewardship and social responsibility.

As a Kitchen Supervisor at Chipotle, you play a vital role in upholding the brand's standards of food quality and safety. This position offers a unique opportunity to develop your culinary skills, particularly in food preparation techniques such as grilling meats and sautéing vegetables to perfection. Beyond cooking, you will manage essential kitchen operations like ordering supplies and maintaining inventory, ensuring that the kitchen runs efficiently and remains well-stocked.

The Kitchen Supervisor also serves as a mentor and leader to crew members, guiding them toward becoming future Kitchen Leaders. This involves training, supporting, and fostering a collaborative team environment that aligns with Chipotle's values of respect, integrity, and continuous improvement. You will work closely with both the back of house and front of house teams to ensure seamless communication and excellent customer service.

Maintaining cleanliness and sanitation in the kitchen is another critical responsibility, along with overseeing equipment functionality and addressing any maintenance needs promptly to avoid disruption. Safety is paramount in this role, as you ensure the kitchen environment is secure, reducing the risk of accidents and injuries.

Compensation for the Kitchen Supervisor role ranges from $17.15 to $19.06 per hour, with eligibility for digital tips and access to a competitive benefits package. Chipotle values employee growth, offering tuition assistance, paid time off, holiday closures, and comprehensive medical benefits to support your well-being and career advancement. Approximately 80% of Chipotle's managers began their journey as crew members, highlighting the robust internal promotion opportunities within the company.

Joining Chipotle means becoming part of a diverse and inclusive team that values each member's contributions and fosters a culture of learning and development. The company is an equal opportunity employer and provides accommodations for applicants requiring assistance during the hiring process. By becoming a Kitchen Supervisor at Chipotle, you embark on a rewarding path where your skills and leadership directly impact the quality of food and customer experience, helping to cultivate a better world through sustainable and delicious dining options.
