Job Description

Milk & Honey is a vibrant New Orleans-themed Southern Brunch destination known for its warm, modern Southern cuisine and inviting atmosphere. Located in a bustling dining scene, Milk & Honey serves flavorful dishes from brunch through dinner, including signature items like Chicken & Waffles, Shrimp & Grits, and Mimosa Towers. The restaurant offers a welcoming environment where guests can enjoy memorable meals either by dining in or taking their favorites to go. The establishment's commitment to quality food, excellent service, and a unique dining experience has made it a standout culinary destination in its community.

As part of the Thompson Hospitality family, one of the largest restaurant, food service, and facilities management companies in the country, Milk & Honey operates with strong core values centered on integrity, excellence, and respect. With over 33 years of experience, Thompson Hospitality is deeply invested in fostering meaningful relationships with clients, guests, and communities. The company promotes a culture where doing the right thing, doing your best, and treating others well are fundamental principles that drive all operations. Milk & Honey embodies these values by ensuring its culinary team is supported and motivated to provide outstanding service and cuisine.

The Kitchen Supervisor role at Milk & Honey is a pivotal position within the culinary team, offering a unique opportunity to lead daily kitchen operations and maintain the restaurant's high standards. This role requires availability for both AM and PM shifts, as well as evenings and weekends, reflecting the dynamic hours typical of a busy restaurant environment. The position involves overseeing food preparation, ensuring proper cooking and plating, and maintaining strict adherence to food quality, presentation, and portion control standards. The Kitchen Supervisor will work closely with the kitchen staff, offering mentorship, guidance, and support to foster a cohesive and efficient team.

In addition to managing kitchen operations, this role also includes responsibilities such as inventory management, ordering supplies, and controlling food costs to maintain profitability without compromising quality. Ensuring the kitchen's cleanliness, hygiene, and compliance with health and safety regulations is also a critical part of the job. Given the physical demands of working in a fast-paced kitchen, the ideal candidate must be able to stand for extended periods, handle kitchen equipment safely, and work efficiently under pressure.

The Kitchen Supervisor at Milk & Honey has the rewarding challenge of influencing the guest experience directly through the quality of the food and the performance of the culinary team. This position offers an enriching work environment where leadership skills can flourish, and the passion for Southern cuisine can be fully expressed. If you are a skilled culinary professional with a dedication to excellence and the ability to inspire a kitchen team, this role at Milk & Honey provides a fulfilling career path with a supportive company culture that values diversity and equal opportunity.
