The Kitchen Manager role at our boutique hotel is a leadership position focused on driving the Food & Beverage Culinary Team to achieve operational excellence and repeat business through outstanding guest satisfaction. As the leader of the culinary team, the Kitchen Manager will mentor and collaborate with a team of skilled chefs, consistently upholding the highest standards of food preparation, cooking, and presentation. This role demands a passion for culinary creativity combined with strong operational acumen to ensure exceptional quality and efficiency.
The ideal candidate will inspire a culture of exceptional customer service through positive leadership and dedication. They will oversee all culinary activities and operations, ensuring compliance with food safety regulations and quality standards. Physical demands of the role include the ability to lift, carry, and move goods on hand carts or trucks weighing up to 200 pounds continuously, maintaining stamina for standing and moving throughout lengthy work periods, and possessing manual dexterity for handling various kitchen equipment.
Candidates are expected to have at least a high school diploma or equivalent, with preference given to those who have completed a Culinary or Apprenticeship Program. Experience requirements include a minimum of two years as a cook in a hotel environment and two years in a similar role with comparable operational scope. Certifications such as Manager's Food Handlers, Alcohol Beverage Server, and OSHA certification or demonstrated knowledge of OSHA regulations are mandatory. The position also calls for basic mathematical skills to effectively prepare financial reports related to kitchen operations.
