The role at hand is within the Wylie Inn’s Stewarding team, a crucial segment of the food service and hospitality operations at Endicott College. As a Stewarding team member, you will play an essential part in maintaining the cleanliness, organization, and sanitation of the kitchen, dishwashing area, and food service spaces, directly contributing to the efficiency and effectiveness of kitchen and banquet functions. This position supports the culinary and events teams by ensuring all dishes, pots, pans, utensils, and workstations adhere to the highest standards of hygiene and safety. You will work closely with kitchen staff to maintain a clean and orderly environment during and after service, helping to sustain guest satisfaction and operational flow. This role requires reliability, attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team setting. The position offers a competitive hourly wage ranging from $16.50 to $17.50, reflecting the institution’s adherence to Massachusetts pay transparency law and competitive market standards. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Previous dishwashing, stewarding, or kitchen experience preferred but not required
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask effectively
  • Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 pounds
  • Strong attention to cleanliness and sanitation standards
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays as required
  • Basic understanding of kitchen safety and sanitation procedures preferred

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Wash and sanitize dishes, glassware, flatware, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of dish room, kitchen areas, walk-ins, and storage spaces
  • Properly operate dishwashing equipment and report any maintenance concerns
  • Remove trash and recycling from kitchen and food service areas
  • Assist with banquet and event breakdown and cleanup as needed
  • Restock clean dishes, utensils, and kitchen supplies in designated areas
  • Follow all food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety procedures
