This full-time, non-management Utility Cleaner position based in Charlotte, North Carolina, plays a vital support role within the hotel’s food and beverage, kitchen, and laundry departments. Utility Cleaners are instrumental in maintaining the cleanliness and operational efficiency of these critical areas, contributing directly to guest satisfaction and the smooth running of hotel functions. Responsibilities include everything from preparing fresh linens and spotless dining ware to operating and maintaining dishwashing machines, hand wash stations, and laundry equipment. These associates take on varied tasks such as transporting dishware and linens across the facility to ensure that all areas remain ready to serve guests at the highest standard.

The role requires flexibility, a commitment to workplace safety, and adherence to company policies and quality standards. Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or GED is preferred but not required
  • no prior related work experience necessary
  • ability to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods
  • ability to reach overhead and below the knees including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping
  • ability to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 50 pounds
  • adherence to company policies and safety standards

Job Duties

  • support cleaning needs across departments such as kitchen, food and beverage, and laundry

  • transport dishware and linens across the hotel
  • create a safe workplace by following company policies and procedures
  • uphold quality standards and ensure professional uniform and communication
  • report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to manager
