Northpoint Recovery is currently seeking a part-time Kitchen Staff - Dietary Cook to join their team at the Northpoint Colorado adult inpatient facility in Loveland, CO. This position reports directly to the Food Service Manager and is responsible for supporting the food service operations that play a critical role in the health and recovery of residential patients and outpatient clients. Scheduled for approximately 16 hours per week with flexible shifts available Monday through Sunday from 6:00 am to 2:30 pm and 10:00 am to 6:30 pm, this role offers compensation ranging from $18 to $23 per hour.

The Kitchen Staff - Dietary Cook plays a vital role in preparing and serving nutritious, high-quality meals aligned with established menus and dietary needs of patients. This role requires preparing large quantities of food from scratch, adhering strictly to food safety, sanitation, and infection control regulations to maintain a sanitary and safe kitchen environment. Additionally, the cook will be responsible for cleaning work areas, properly storing food, managing inventory, and accommodating special diets including allergies and dietary restrictions. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, possesses strong organizational skills, and demonstrates a commitment to maintaining a respectful and therapeutic dining atmosphere within the residential recovery setting.

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of 1 year experience in food service operations
  • Must be at least twenty-one years of age
  • Current nationally accredited CPR/First Aid/AED certification
  • Ability to stand for extended periods
  • Ability to pass background checks and drug screening
  • Strong understanding of food safety, sanitation, and infection control
  • Knowledge of health regulations and inspection processes
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills
  • Compassionate and professional attitude

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Associate's or bachelor's degree in culinary arts, hospitality management, nutrition, or a related field preferred
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in food service operations required
  • Must be at least twenty-one (21) years of age
  • Must maintain current nationally accredited CPR/First Aid/AED certification
  • Experience in healthcare, residential treatment, corrections, or institutional food service preferred
  • Strong understanding of food safety, sanitation, and infection control standards
  • Experience accommodating special diets, food allergies, and nutritional requirements
  • Knowledge of local and state health department regulations and inspection processes
  • Strong organizational, time-management, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to maintain a clean, safe, and compliant kitchen environment
  • Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams
  • Compassionate, professional approach when working in a residential recovery environment
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks related to kitchen operations

Job Duties

  • Cook in large quantities from scratch recipes
  • Prepare and serve meals according to established menus and portion guidelines
  • Follow food safety, sanitation, and infection control standards at all times
  • Assist with food preparation tasks, including chopping, cooking, baking, and plating
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen, storage, and serving areas
  • Properly store food, label items, and monitor temperatures to ensure safety
  • Assist with receiving and stocking food deliveries
  • Accommodate special diets, allergies, and dietary restrictions as directed
  • Operate kitchen equipment safely and report maintenance needs
  • Assist with inventory control and minimize food waste
  • Follow standardized recipes and food production procedures
  • Clean and sanitize dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment
  • Support meal service schedules and coordinate with kitchen staff
  • Comply with all local, state, and federal health regulations
  • Demonstrate professionalism and respect in a residential environment
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members
  • Respond appropriately to resident needs related to food service
