Job Requirements
- high school diploma or equivalent
- minimum 1 year experience in food preparation or kitchen assistance
- ability to stand for extended periods
- capacity to follow detailed instructions and adhere to food safety standards
- strong communication skills
- physical ability to lift up to 25 pounds
- willingness to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
Job Qualifications
- 2 years previous experience in a restaurant or food service environment is preferred
- culinary school education is a plus
- ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- strong teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues
- willingness to learn new cooking techniques and expand culinary knowledge
- flexibility to adapt to changing tasks and schedules as needed within the kitchen setting
Job Duties
- assist in the preparation of meals and ingredients according to established recipes and standards
- prepare menu items efficiently while maintaining high-quality food safety practices
- help maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, including workstations, utensils, and equipment
- participate in inventory management by assisting with stock rotation and reporting shortages
- follow all food safety guidelines to ensure the health and safety of both staff and customers
- collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely meal preparation and delivery
