Job Description
Chick-fil-A is a leading fast-food restaurant chain known for its commitment to exceptional customer service, quality food, and community involvement. Founded in 1946, Chick-fil-A has grown significantly and now operates thousands of restaurants primarily across the United States. The brand emphasizes a strong culture of care, leadership, and teamwork, creating a distinctive environment where employees are valued and guests receive a memorable dining experience. Most Chick-fil-A restaurants are independently owned and operated by franchised business owners who focus on hiring and developing local team members with strong values and a passion for serving others. Working at Chick-fil-A is about more than just a job — it's an opportunity to be part of a positive, people-focused culture where personal growth and leadership development are prioritized.
The Kitchen Manager position at Chick-fil-A is a full-time leadership role that requires dedication, passion, and a commitment to operational excellence. This role is pivotal in leading kitchen operations during assigned shifts, ensuring that food quality, safety, and speed of service meet Chick-fil-A's high standards. Kitchen Managers work closely with the Owner/Operator and the leadership team to coach, develop, and support kitchen team members, fostering a professional and encouraging work environment. Responsibilities include managing team accountability, assisting with training new employees, supporting inventory management, and identifying opportunities to enhance kitchen efficiency and team performance.
This role demands someone with strong leadership and communication skills who can thrive in a fast-paced environment and maintain a positive attitude. The position requires availability to work various shifts, including opening and closing duties, Fridays and Saturdays, and at least three Saturdays per month. Chick-fil-A offers a comprehensive benefits package including paid time off, insurance contributions, employee meal discounts, scholarship opportunities, and growth paths through leadership development programs. In recognition of work-life balance, Chick-fil-A restaurants are closed on Sundays. Starting compensation begins at $18.00 per hour, reflecting the value placed on quality leadership and operational excellence.
As a Kitchen Manager at Chick-fil-A, you will not only lead and develop your team but also have the opportunity to build a long-term career in restaurant leadership. Many current leaders have advanced into senior management and director roles, making this an ideal gateway for motivated individuals seeking personal and professional growth. This role offers a chance to make a meaningful impact every day by upholding Chick-fil-A's values and delivering the exceptional food and service that customers expect. If you are dependable, self-motivated, organized, and possess a servant-minded leadership style, this opportunity could be the perfect fit for you.
