The role being offered is a Kitchen Deli Associate position based under the Kitchen Department Head. This is a dynamic and engaging role within T&T’s supermarket stores, aimed at preparing, stocking, and presenting a wide array of kitchen products such as BBQ, hot foods, dim sum, sushi, and other prepared foods for customer selection. The position requires an individual who can handle various food preparation tasks including frying, cutting, packing, weighing, and labeling products in advance to ensure availability and freshness. The associate also plays a critical role in stocking kitchen products onto display cases and refrigerated units, maintaining neat, visually appealing presentations that attract customers.

Customer service is a key aspect of this role, requiring the associate to interact courteously and enthusiastically with customers, assist them in product selection, and provide recommendations when necessary. Maintaining food quality, safety, freshness, and strictly following First-In-First-Out (FIFO) inventory practices are essential responsibilities to uphold the company’s high standards. Additionally, the role involves supporting the cleanliness and organization of the work environment by washing and maintaining tools and equipment. The associate must also monitor product displays, replenish stock in a timely manner, and manage expired or shrinkage items responsibly.

The Kitchen Deli Associate position is shift-based, including work during weekdays, weekends, evenings, and statutory holidays. Flexibility in scheduling and the ability to stand for long periods while safely handling work-related tools are necessary for success. Knowledge of basic workplace safety, and the ability to communicate effectively in English and potentially Chinese languages such as Cantonese or Mandarin, is considered an asset. Prior experience with kitchen deli products, display techniques, promotion, and packaging is preferred.
