Job Requirements
- Able to work flexible shifts including weekdays, weekends, evening hours, and statutory holidays
- able to stand for long periods and safely use work related tools
- able to communicate in english
- knowledge of basic work safety
- relevant experience with kitchen deli products, display, promotion and packaging techniques preferred
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- prior experience in kitchen deli or food preparation roles preferred
- knowledge of kitchen deli product preparation and packaging techniques
- ability to communicate effectively in english
- bilingual ability in cantonese and or mandarin is an asset
- understanding of food safety and sanitation practices
- customer service skills with a friendly and enthusiastic approach
- ability to stand for long periods and handle work related tools safely
- flexibility to work shifts including weekends, evenings and holidays
Job Duties
- Fry, cut, pack, weigh, label and prepare various kitchen products including BBQ, hot foods, dim sum, sushi and others in advance for customers
- stock kitchen products onto display cases and refrigerated units in the sales area
- provide good customer service by greeting customers with smiles and enthusiasm
- assist customers in selecting kitchen products and offer recommendations
- ensure product quality, food safety, freshness and practice FIFO inventory method
- maintain workplace cleanliness by washing and keeping work tools clean
- keep product displays full, attractive and neat by timely replenishing inventory
- verify and process expired kitchen deli products and manage shrinkage
- receive product deliveries and take customer orders
- ensure daily sales and other checklists are properly completed
- perform additional duties as assigned by supervisors
