Monsieur Dior in Beverly Hills, California, is currently seeking a full-time or part-time Kitchen Server to join their team. This role is integral to ensuring a smooth flow of service between the kitchen and the dining room, enhancing guest experiences by delivering food orders promptly and accurately. The Kitchen Server acts as the vital link in communication and coordination, managing food tickets, sorting orders at kitchen stations, and notifying servers as dishes are ready to be served. This is a tipped position with a base hourly pay of $17.87. The hourly wage does not include tips, which can significantly increase overall earnings.

As a Kitchen Server at Monsieur Dior, you will be responsible for maintaining comprehensive knowledge of the menu, ingredients, allergens, and plating details to assist in explaining dishes and ensure accurate delivery. This role demands excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently under pressure. The ability to maintain cleanliness and organization in the service and expo stations is crucial, along with supporting setup, clearing, and mise en place tasks to maintain seamless operations throughout the shift.

The position requires standing for long periods, walking, bending, and carrying trays weighing up to 35 pounds. Flexibility is key as shifts include days, evenings, weekends, and holidays. The role is ideal for candidates with at least one year of experience in a fine dining or Michelin-level environment who possess a deep understanding of food service standards and have a collaborative, team-first attitude.

Job Duties

  • Deliver dishes from the kitchen to guests with urgency, accuracy, and grace
  • Maintain complete knowledge of the menu, ingredients, allergens, and plating to explain dishes when needed and ensure accuracy of every delivery
  • Communicate clearly and efficiently between the kitchen and front-of-house team to ensure smooth service flow
  • Confirm proper seat numbers and courses for each dish to uphold exacting service standards
  • Uphold impeccable cleanliness and organization in the expo and service stations
  • Support reset, clearing, and mise en place as needed to ensure seamless transitions
  • Participate in pre-service meetings and tastings to stay informed on menu changes and chef notes
