The role of a member of the Alamo Production Crew, which encompasses the entire kitchen team, is vital to maintaining the heart and soul of the Alamo Drafthouse Cinema experience. The Production Crew is responsible for preparing food in strict accordance with Alamo’s carefully crafted recipes and standards, ensuring not only quality and taste but also the timely delivery and presentation that patrons expect. Team members in this role understand their important part within the larger kitchen and theater team, working collaboratively to create an outstanding culinary journey for guests. The kitchen team works across various stations such as dishwashing, prep, frying, salad making, grilling, and pizza preparation, providing diversity in daily tasks and opportunities for skill development. The position demands a keen attention to detail, especially in maintaining health and safety standards, from daily station set-up and restaurant safety practices to controlling cross-contamination and allergy protocols.

This is a tip-shared position, with a distribution model that allocates 20 percent of total tips to the back of house (BOH) staff and 80 percent to the front of house (FOH), reinforcing a culture of shared success and teamwork. The Production Crew members are expected to uphold the company’s core values which include doing the right thing, fostering community, boldly going after innovation, and showing passion for excellent service. Job Requirements

  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds at one time and repeatedly during entire shift
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the shift
  • Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays (minimum 3 days a week, at least one day being a weekend)
  • Ability to move with caution and operate in a busy/sometimes loud environment
  • Stays up-to-date on all local food compliance regulations, safety courses, and assigned online trainings
  • Reliable transportation

Job Qualifications

  • 1+ years of experience in high volume restaurant environment
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced kitchen environment

Job Duties

  • Prepares and plates Alamo menu items in according to our recipes and specs
  • Trained and available to work different stations as assigned, including dish, prep, fry, salad, grill, pizza, etc
  • Responsible for cleaning, organization, and general maintenance of all equipment and dishwashing areas as assigned, including but not limited to recurring deep cleanings tasks and daily sidework checklists
  • Prepares guest food orders based on approved operational processes
  • focusing on safety, quality, accuracy and efficiency
  • Restocks supplies as needed, completes prep and side work, and assists with any additional operational tasks required for efficient service
  • Supports the delivery and organization of food and beverage orders as needed
  • Upholds standards of behavior as defined by the company's Core Values and Operational Guidelines
