Job Description

Mountain Crust is a dynamic and passionate catering company based in Denver, Colorado, specializing in delivering mouth-watering wood-fired pizzas and exceptional hospitality experiences. Founded a decade ago by a University of Denver senior who wanted to forge a non-traditional career path in the food industry, Mountain Crust has grown into a beloved local institution known for its vibrant pizza parties, high-quality food, and lively team spirit. As a company, Mountain Crust prides itself on offering more than just a job – it's about becoming part of a crew that values creativity, quality, and the joy of working together in an upbeat, fast-paced environment.

Operating with a focus on both catering events and running lively pizza parties, Mountain Crust combines the art of food preparation with the excitement of community and celebration. The company has built a reputation for its signature wood-fired pizzas cooked in vintage pizza trucks, bringing a unique and memorable dining experience to a variety of events, from intimate gatherings to large celebrations. This entrepreneurial spirit and commitment to quality have helped Mountain Crust carve out a distinct niche in Denver's hospitality scene.

The current opportunity is for kitchen team members who are eager to dive into every aspect of this vibrant pizza party lifestyle. This role offers a unique blend of kitchen prep work, hands-on cooking, on-site event execution, and creative recipe development. Team members can expect variety in their work, splitting time between the brand-new kitchen facility and mountain event settings where pizzas are cooked fresh on-site. This position is perfect for energetic and motivated individuals who thrive in dynamic environments and want to grow their culinary skills while being part of a fun and collaborative team.

As a kitchen crew member at Mountain Crust, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the quality standards that have made Mountain Crust a favorite. Responsibilities include overseeing and executing prep lists, helping manage food inventory and minimize waste, ensuring kitchen systems run smoothly, and acting as a quality control agent. You will assist in training and providing feedback to fellow team members, contribute to the creation and refinement of recipes, and help delegate tasks to ensure efficient kitchen operations. The role also includes event participation where you might be operating the pizza oven, managing food stations, and supporting the back-of-house logistics crucial to a successful event.

Mountain Crust’s work environment is unique, combining the camaraderie of a close-knit crew with the thrill of running mobile kitchen events in picturesque locations. The team values enthusiasm, adaptability, and a willingness to jump into whatever task is needed to keep the pizza party rolling. Whether you’re prepping dough early in the kitchen or pulling fresh, flavorful pizzas from the oven at a mountain event, this job offers a rewarding opportunity to be part of a passionate food service team committed to quality and fun. The position is seasonal, running through mid-November, making it ideal for those seeking engaging work with a good mix of kitchen and event experience within Denver’s bustling catering scene.
